Journalist Team

We are calling on avid writers, driven changemakers, and passionate activists to join our journalist team!

If you have made it this far, thank you for expressing interest in applying for Dear Activist Global: a sector of the Dear Activist platform that allows high-school journalists, residing in countries around the world, to cover international issues and conflicts. Journalists are appointed for their expertise in writing, passion towards activism and human rights, and diligence within and outside of the Dear Activist organization. If you would like to join the team, it is mandatory to complete the two forms below as well as the Journalist Application.

We are always seeking new members who retain interests in global issues, activism, human rights, and writing. It is imperative that those affiliated with Dear Activist have exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills; members of the organization must also be proficient in Google Drive applications, such as Google Docs and Google Sheets.

Journalists for Dear Activist Global are required to proffer original article ideas that are centered around pressing global affairs. Each journalist must write at least one article per month and must pitch their ideas for approval before drafting. Afterwards, the article must be peer reviewed by the Editor, Nika Tarkian, prior to the piece’s publication on the website. As admission to the team is voluntary and without monetary compensation, Dear Activist Global is comprised of students who are eager to write about international events.

One-Time Journalist

If you have an existing article that you would like uploaded to dearactivist.com, you can submit your work through the link attached below to be considered for publication. If your piece has already been published on another website or contains plagiarism, we cannot accept your work.

If you do not have a pre-written article but would like to serve as a one-time journalist, please email contact@dearactivist.com to discuss article ideas.
